India is a land bestowed with many beautiful cultures and ethnicities. These cultures have greatly influenced fashion across the country over decades. Each one so unique, yet expressing the same thoughts of an Indian woman. If you've followed the earlier posts, you'll know how I love ethnic clothing of all kinds. Being a fashion influencer, I always like having a balance between ethnic, western or fusion posts and influence more of you to do the same!
Bandhani Bound is post showing my love for this pretty print. Although it's origin goes all the way back the the Indus Valley civilisation, the Khatri Community of Gujarat restarted it. It comes in all sorts of tones and designs but this skirt has been my favourite so far. I styled this skirt with antique oxidised jewellery, the ones that have gained a lot of popularity lately. I picked mine up from Celestial Kitten. They have such a cute collection of boho things from chokers to tapestries! One among the few accessories stores I like.
Aishwarya Ravi, being a stylist herself, gave this skirt a rather different look. She teamed it with an oversized pullover and neckpiece worn as a headband. She even showed me these off beat poses. As you can see, this look is such a contrast from the first one. It definitely brought me out of my element!
I had such a great time shooting with her. Aishwarya just started her own page, Break the Basic; you must follow it on your social handles if you love unconventional and sick photography! You won't be disappointed :)
