How's your weekend looking guys? Fashion week is finally done and I can't imagine how exhausted the numerous people involved must be! The reason I'm pointing this out is cause I've been religiously following the shows and the street style trends. Can only imagine the magnitude of time, effort and money invested on them. The fashion week goers are in no less stress. Nailing streetstyle with effortless-looking ensembles is a serious, gruelling task. It's such insights that makes observing fashion events so interesting.
One of the obvious trends spotted is the return of the suits. Although it made a small appearance last season, this time around, the streets of London, Paris, New York and Milan were flooded with top fashionistas wearing suits in one way or another. Power dressing being just one of the diverse ways of styling a suit. Oversized shift blazer dress, asymmetrical blazer suit, puffed-sleeves blazers; to highlight a few.
This post was shot in London, almost two months ago. I do regret the lag in posting the fit, however, I'm happy that my social media feeds is still filled with streetstylers from in suits. It means I'm not that late, I guess? I picked up the old school Parisian mood while styling the checked co-ord with a modern twist.
Through today's post I want to encourage you to not let dust settle on your suits. Or even your dad's, if you're a little thief like me. Or invest in a budget friendly one if you're unsure (my wallet was pleased when I picked this set up from Missguided). Instead of waiting for a formal event to come by, experiment with it when you hit the club or brunch with your girls or whenever it suits you! ;)
