The Trouser Throwback

The fashion pinwheel constantly spins back and forth in terms of 'fit'. Thankfully, relaxed looks are winning at the moment. And no, it doesn't have to be athleisure leading all the time. The paperbag trousers and skirts have returned this season. Right now, all eyes are on anything gathered at the waist.
The Paperbag trousers comes from the time when women chose comfort and mobility just like the men of that period. It reflects the maiden feminist takeover in fashion. They were tailor-made, gathered or pleated at the waist; passing off the 'serious / woman in workforce' vibe. Today, we see this pattern cut on many ready-to-wear bottoms, offering a chic look with a great cutting-edge comfort. It can be styled as you like, worn over oversized tees, bodysuits, crops or shirts.
Since pastels are welcome at any time of the year, I chose a pair of lavender trousers. I went for an old school look and tucked in an oversized tee. The lilac oval sunnies was a perfect add-on. Notting Hill proved to be such an ideal location for this look with the pretty pastel houses and fancy antique cars. It's one of my top favourite places in London.
