Denim by Deme
Hello hello! How are you doing today? If you follow me on Instagram, you would've noticed that I'm back to B-town. It's been greattt! Reuniting with my friends and family was the best part, even though I was gone for just a little while. A majority of them noticed the weight gain, which reminded me to pen down this post.
A few years ago, I was overweight and it worried me quite a bit. I'd stick to a few styles of clothing and would mostly wear black. Thankfully, I have more self esteem now and I try not to let my looks control how I feel. However, when I go shopping for trousers, there's something that pulls me away from the light ones. I barely own any white bottoms. Even though I love white denim, I avoid it at all costs due to my pear shaped body. This one time I was scrolling through Instagram, I came across a post from Deme by Gabrielle. It had these super distressed white denim which I started obsessing over. I had to get one for myself, cause YOLO!
I did doubt whether I could pull it off, considering how it was so different from my usual style. The unexpected distressed details pushed my style to new heights, which I loved. I paired it with this vintage patch bodysuit, another element I had a crush on, when I saw it on Kendall Jenner.
If you have something you'd love to wear but don't feel confident enough, I'd say go for it. Because fashion is a reflection of your personality. Have fun and experiment! xx
